  • Complete your profile: Profile photo, bio, birthday, gender, shopping interests
  • Create wishlists: Wishlist names, wish items, descriptions, prices, images, product URLs

4.3 Affiliate Partners

When you click on affiliate links to third-party products:

  • The merchant may collect information about your visit and purchase

Mobile App Affiliate Tracking: When using the Jinnie mobile app:

  • Clicking product links may place affiliate tracking cookies or identifiers on your device
  • These track whether you make a purchase from the merchant within their tracking period (typically 24 hours to 30 days)
  • Tracking only occurs when you actively click on a product link, not while browsing the app
  • You can opt-out of this tracking at any time (see Section 6.4 below)

6.3 Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time, which will:

  • Permanently remove your profile and wishlists

  • Cancel any pending reservations

6.4 Opting Out of Affiliate Tracking

You can opt-out of affiliate tracking through the following methods:

Mobile App (iOS/Android):

  • Clear App Data: Go to your device settings > Apps > Jinnie > Clear Data/Cache. This removes all affiliate tracking cookies stored by the app.
  • Reset Advertising ID:
    • iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking > Toggle off "Allow Apps to Request to Track"
    • Android: Settings > Google > Ads > Reset advertising ID
  • Limit Ad Tracking:
    • iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking > Disable tracking
    • Android: Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization
  • Uninstall and Reinstall: Removing and reinstalling the app will clear all stored affiliate cookies.

Website (Browser):

  • Clear your browser cookies and cache
  • Use private/incognito browsing mode
  • Enable "Do Not Track" in your browser settings
  • Use browser extensions that block tracking cookies

Note: Opting out of affiliate tracking does not affect your ability to use Jinnie's core features. You can still create wishlists, view products, and share with friends. The only change is that we will not earn commissions when you make purchases through product links.

7. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 16 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at privacy@jinnie.co so we can delete it.

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. These countries may have different data protection laws. By using our Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to these countries.
